Good candidate for a full resto or leave as is. The bike spent a good 20 years in a shed so at least it was out of the rain. I re-examined them closely and there are no visible weld cracks. No pitting on frame but the steel is a little rough where paint is missing. The frame is very good, straight and smooth aside from the rough paint. The bars have some light rust pitting but not too bad if re-painting. Recently tore down, all parts dipped in mild oxalic acid(doesn't harm chrome, paint, or decals) to remove surface rust. Cousin of the famous Mongoose, this Jag has been in the family since way back and handed down to me. This BMX Products survivor has lived life.
Again, I'm truly very sorry for the inconvenience. I've adjusted the starting bid to reflect the wheel damage. I've gone over the bike with a fine tooth comb and I do not see anything else that I haven't already described or isn't obvious in the photos. more While removing the tires a piece of the front wheel snapped off due to an unseen crack in the edge of the rim.
I had to cancel the auction and modify the description. My deepest to apologies to those of you who were bidding and or watching this item.
